It was almost one hundred years ago that Virgilio Valobra established his soap making business in Genoa. He was determined to adhere strictly to the formulas and methods of the master soap manufacturers of the 18th century who had made the Riviera a region of excellence in soap making. To this day Valobra uses the ancient and expensive production methods that preserve the precious ingredients, giving careful and time consuming attention to seasoning, resulting in super-rich lathering soaps.
